About MARINA
Marina is a WSET Certified Sake Educator and has the Japan Sommelier Association Sake Diploma. Additionally, she has earned her Wine and Spirits Diploma with WSET. She is also is a Certified Specialist in Wine with the Society of Wine Educators. Marina has also completed the Japan Sake and Shochu Academy and has the Advanced Sake Professional title with the Sake Education Council and has completed the Sake Scholar Course.
As an invited guest of the Japanese National Research Institute of Brewing, Marina has spent significant time studying sake production in multiple regions of Japan. Her passion for sake education comes from a place of personal indulgence and a desire to share the beauty of sake with others – she says “The more people who appreciate sake, the more easily imported bottles are, and the more I get to enjoy!”
Outside of WineSakeChick, Marina is an EMMY Award winning television director for 7 NEWS at Boston’s WHDH-TV.
